Abigail Arana

Architecture & User Experience Design

Hello there! I’m Abigail, a post-graduate student studying User Experience and Web Design from Sydney, Australia.

I am constantly inspired by people’s visual, physical and digital experiences in everyday life. Working in an architectural firm has helped me learn to create innovative design solutions to complex briefs to suit client needs and goals. Previously, I was a student tutor at the University of Sydney, teaching graphic design and architectural principles, as well as software programs and skills. And way before that, I produced meaningful digital and print designs for a retail company to improve customer experience and engagement.

As an undergraduate of architecture, I have long been immersed into a world built on shaping human experiences in the form of structures. I can combine design, empathy, attention to detail and logic to solve problems and in turn, improve other people’s lives. It is my passion of designing for people that I have moved to refine my skills in defining digital interfaces for web and mobile platforms.

While I’m not working or actively thinking about the budgeting website I’m currently designing, in my spare time you can find me trying to learn InVision and Figma (Axure and Sketch done!), selling pre-loved items online, re-styling interiors and attempting every single Ottolenghi recipe.
